Does anyone remember hearing about these email scams whereby you recieve an email from someone claiming that they represent the estate of someone who has died in a foreign country (the deceased wasn't from the country). And that the estate is like worth multi millions but the only way it can be claimed is if another foreigner (YOU) allow your account to be used to park the $$ - for which you'll get a percentage. Totally risk free of course!
I just got one of these from "James Desouza" from Togo. (where the hell is Togo?)
Should this be forwarded onto who? Cops, email busters?

This is one of the oldest scams in circulation. It was going on in the seventies by mail, long before the e-mail version came out.

Usually the scam proceeds to the next stage where you are told that they need a small investment (a few thousand $$ or so) to get the paperwork going. If you fall for this ploy, then they keep upping the ante and extracting more money until you catch on. If you get wise, the participants dissapear and you are out of luck.

No problem, I had the same e-mail and knew what was going on... last time it was a group of guys out of Scarborough... I had the e-mail come through on my server so I was able to forward a little more info than the average person. They are local to ontario as all the email addresses that were in the cc list belonged to members of sites that are in the area.

Figured I should post the info sine it was fresh in my e-mail list and I had contacted them a few times on the same or similar scams.

Usually though if it's unsolicited porn I send it off to the Jehovas Witnesses on Saturdays....lol
