Building a Border Wall on the Southern Border:

I believe that Trump never truly intended to build the entire U.S.-Mexico border wall, as such a project would be physically impossible to complete. He also never seriously attempted to have Mexico pay for any part of the wall, knowing they would refuse. So far, only about 800 km of the border wall has been constructed at a cost of approximately $15 billion. Building a continuous wall from the Pacific Ocean to the Gulf of Mexico would be prohibitively expensive and logistically unfeasible.

Repealing and Replacing the Affordable Care Act (Obamacare):

Trump promised to repeal Obamacare and replace it with a better, more affordable system. Trump has made no effort to replace it or offer a better alternative in his first term in office. He now only claims to have concepts of a plan. I do not believe he will make any changes in his second term in office.

Eliminate corruption and " Drain the swamp" :

How can anyone claim to rid the government of corruption when he plans to install incompetents, phonies, cronies and imposters in his own administration?

Cutting the National Debt:

Trump promised to cut the national debt. However, under his administration, the national debt grew significantly due to tax cuts and increased government spending. He has announced that he is planning to cut corporate taxes further. How is it possible to reduce the deficit when there will be less revenue coming in?

Mass Deportations of Illegal Immigrants:

Trump promised to deport millions of illegal immigrants during his campaign. While some deportations took place, the large-scale efforts he envisioned were never fully carried out, largely due to legal hurdles and logistical challenges. Could this just be another one of his empty promises to secure votes? If Trump were to attempt mass deportations, it would not only damage his own reputation but also harm America’s standing on the global stage. The effort would likely face an onslaught of legal and constitutional challenges, including lawsuits, court injunctions, and prolonged legal battles. It would also require an immense investment of manpower and resources. Additionally, the economic impact would be felt in industries dependent on immigrant labor, such as agriculture, manufacturing, and domestic work, leading to labor shortages. This could fuel unrest and social divisions, potentially sparking protests or violent clashes on a scale similar to the "Black Lives Matter" demonstrations. The consequences would be far-reaching, both politically and socially.

Creating Jobs and Economic Growth:

Trump promised that his economic policies would generate millions of jobs, particularly through tax cuts and deregulation. However, in an economy where people are purchasing fewer new cars and even reducing or skipping meals at places like McDonald's, many are facing financial strain or worrying about their future. Jobs are typically created in a thriving, expanding economy, some of Trump's policies may actually hinder economic growth. Particularly if tariffs are imposed on goods from Canada, Mexico, and China, is more likely to result in job losses and slower economic progress.

No New Wars:

Trump campaigned on ending "endless wars" and bringing troops home from the Middle East. While troop withdrawals did take place, the long-term stability of the region and the ultimate outcomes of U.S. involvement remained uncertain, with some military operations continuing during his presidency. However, participation in war is not solely a matter of choice; it is often determined by the circumstances and the broader geopolitical situation a country faces.
