My iPhone dropped in the water, I did everything to remove it, and fortunately, it works. But still, a speaker sounds like there is water in it. Should I wait until the water completely evaporates or is it better to address a pro?

From what I understand immediately bury it in a big bowl of un cooked rice for 48 hrs. The raw rice will draw the moisture out.

I read that using a silica gel packet is even better than rice, but not everyone has it, so use rice if it is on hand. When you decide to turn it on (usually, in 48 hours), your speaker might still sound weird. In this case, I suggest installing a water eject sound application (I used Clea Wave, maybe there are similar ones). At first, I was skeptical about it, but it really made my speaker sound clear. Hopefully, you will solve the problem soon.

If the rice method doesn't work, replacing the speaker isn't a big deal. Lots of small cell phone repair shops should be able to do it for less than $100.

The guy I used closed during COVID. I would do a Google search for phone repair shops in your area. Check out the reviews and go from there. Replacing a speaker is s simple fix. Call around to get a quote. Prices can vary for the same thing. Also ask if they use aftermarket or OEM parts.

Apparently, there's an app called "Sonic" that puts an angry blue hedgehog in your phone. He screams "SEGA!" until the water is out...

Seriously, it's an app that plays a sound that causes the water to be pushed out. According to the article, it's built into the Apple Watches but not into iPhones.
