DVD backup

I've been burning DVDs for the past 4 years now. These are the programs I use:

1. DVD Decryptor to rip
2. DVD2one to compress
3. Nero to burn

I've tried these other programs like DVDshrink or DVDXCopy and I just don't like them. DVDshrink I tried and found some people had problems playing them back. DVDXCopy puts a stupid spash screen at the beginning of each disc.

DVDshrink is quite good...but use either DVDdecrypter or Smartripper to first 'rip' the movie file onto your HD (they both do a better job of 'ripping' than DVDshrink). Then you can use DVDshrink to re-author the movie for burning on to blank dvd disk.

They have ALL and EVERY answer related to audio/video burning. The site contains reviews of every burning software available. As well as the download links to every program you'll ever need. An extremely usefull site.

BTW- if you decide to use DVDxcopy (excellent for making 'exact' 1-to-1 copies), there is a way to get rid of the annoying 'copyright disclaimer' at the beginning of each disk while keeping everything else intact:
