Dustin McGowan released

The Dodgers released Dustin McGowan yesterday after a rough spring training. It's sad since he showed so much potential in his exploding smoking pitching prowess in 2008 that a home plate umpire mentioned to Cito Gaston, "the kid has great stuff."

I hope this is not the final chapter in his career.

I feel bad too. I listened on the car radio a few back when Dustin took a no-hitter into the 8th and I admired the way he fought back from arm injuries and diabetes to play MLB ball again. I hope he gets back to the Bigs again.
