I have been thinking about opening a dungeon for quite some time here in Ottawa. I would like to get your opinion first. Do you think there is a need for this or not. I have only heard of 2 mistresses in Ottawa maybe there are more I don't know. I know Montreal is Big on Dom. If there is a need for this here I would like to hear of some of the things people would like to experience.

Tracey, I don't think a dungeon is what's missing. What's missing is an SP who can play the role of a Mistress. My problem with pro Dommes is that they take the easy route, play with the toys from a distance and avoid sex. If an SP can do both, it can be done any place, no dungeon's required.

Dungens are okay

If it's done well a dungeon can provide many more possibilities than one can achieve at home.

If you are also offering SUB services, it makes sense to have this at a dungeon rather than an outcall situation.

I agree with others that if sp services aren't on the menu, there is no point.

I think it's really tough to find a Mistress who would meet all the (at least mine) requirements.

1) The DOM role has to be flawless in it's execution in order to belivable, and it has to be more than being rude, cranky and demanding ( you can get this at the post office ). Maybe at some point we could start a thread of the ideal mistress...

2) She has to be as hot as sin. At least that's part of the fetish for me, probably not for everyone. In order for this to work for me I have to want her from the moment I see her. Alot of mistress I see advertisments for are women would have a hard time making it as SP's in the looks department. it really just seems like the get into the "mistress thing" for the niche clientle not becuase they have any personal interest in it.

3) she has to want to provide the sp services, but she also has to get off on being a dom. I have never seen this faked effectively. Really these are two very specialized skill sets but if you find them you will have all the business you can handle.

In my humble opinion...

Like the lion and the tin-man combined, a good pro domme has to have a brain and a heart.

She has to be able to be "intellectually attached" to what she does professionally, in order to give a worthwhile experience to her clients. She has to be able to get into his head, and make him think the fantasy is real. All the while being safe and sane.

She has to have a heart because she really will be taking care of the guy, emotionally and physically. Some fellows have some pretty bizarre requests, and it takes a very patient and understanding woman to put them at ease, to feel comnfortable opening up to her. One domme was tellling me about some of her clients' requests, and I thought "she must be the most caring, patient, understanding person on Earth". Just getting beat up isn't fun, but getting beat up by a woman who can capture and control your immagination is a whole different level.

So far I have only visited dommes who also offer sex; usually forced sex on me. And I prefer bigger ladies, but actually any woman who can do the above would be great in O-town.

It has nothing to do with making a fortune. I did it in Mtl for 3 years and loved it. What woman doesn't like having 100% control of a man and having her way with him. The mistresses and SP's that get into it only for the money are in it for all the wrong reasons. If you don't like your Job your gonna suck at it and never have repeat business wear as I loved it. Maybe it's because I have a dominant personality I don't know. When I worked in Mtl I didn't have sex with my (Slaves) there was a release at the end, only if her really deserved it. I did a lot of role playing and the only time I was Submissive is when acting out (little school girl with pigtails) fantasy.

I am taking everything said into consideration. I am still not 100% sure if I will go through with this idea or not. Only time will tell and I will keep everyone up to date. I just want to make sure that this will be good as I don't want to put in a lot of money for nothing.

How many people live in the Ottawa-Gatineau and surrounding area? A million? There`s room for a few more dommes in the city. Toronto has at least 25 of them.

What`s next? Ottawa only needs one strip club? This isn`t Wal-Mart coming into a small town and putting the other stores out of business.

I would have to say "YES", we need more. Cathy La Devine is a fine looking woman and very good at the s&m game but she is incredibly restrictive. You'll get more mileage from a stripper outside of the champagne room than you will with Cathy inside her dungeon.

Agreed! Cathie is too restrictive. I would welcome a new younger Domme.
