I went out for drinks with old friends I've hardly seens since college twenty years ago. One's a Crown, north end of town. First thing I asked him (I'd been drinking and was manic, in my defense), was whether he'd heard of any C-36 enforcement.
Strangely, my other friends, all mostly lawyers, including one woman, and aware of the reference, weren't shocked. He was a little, discomfitted, let's say.
But, he certainly didn't make it sound like enforcement was a priority. Priorities seemed to be: ONE (1) - GUNS; 2 - drugs; 3 - everything else.
Unfortunately, he refused to call and tell me, "The rasberries are ripe" if he heard anything contrary on the enforcement front.
My sense is if you avoid children and cop's daughters, you'll be fine.
