Drawbacks to a white coloured car?

Looking to get a new car, narrowed it down to two colours, a dark metallic grey and white.
Never had a white car before, any drawbacks to them? Friend said rust sticks out more, but I notice rust on all colours really.

I always said I would never buy a white car - but it was because I hate long winters and white snow on a white car yuck. Now I don't own a car but occasionally rent - last 2 have been white. Any way, I am sure that was no help to you

There’s a reason why white is the most popular color for cars, especially in Asia. It doesn’t get his hot, is visible at night for safety reasons, Doesn’t show scratches as much as black and dark colors , Has higher resale value because it is popular, has a clean, timeless look, and you can touch it up with any white paint if you can’t find the exact match.

You will have a hard time selling a dark metallic gray color, as it is not as popular.

Unless you really like the gray color, I would definitely get the white

Thanks.

My only dilemma is the interior of the white car is it's a bit too light for me, whereas the darker metallic has dark seats which I prefer in a car. I spend more time in the vehicle, than I do out obviously, but that white is real "clean" looking.
My close friend (Canadian Chinese) said "there's a reason why Asians get white and I have no idea why" LOL😂 But he vouched for the white one as well.

Whereas another friend said you can see rust on a white real well. I can see rust on everywhere car, regardless of colour.

Pearl white is hard to match and touch up. Looks great but a pain to blend if you're ever in an accident and need a repair.

I prefer silver for all of the negative reasons of owning one in other colours. But yes, white over darker colours including black. Black = the worst.

Well, it's not a classic American, but they are beautiful in white.

Had black, silver and now going for white, but that light interior isn't vibin' for me as well as the dark coloured car.

Yearly rustrproofing like Krown should keep the rust at bay. Cars don't rust as much as they used to but you still have things such as brake lines, gas lines, gas tank, etc.

Well, in the TV shows , The A-Team, Knight Rider, Smokey and the Bandit, and Batman all the cars were black.
Name TV shows or movies with White cars...Herbie, The Spy who loved me, Vanishing Point, Ghostbuster.

Here is a fun fact:
White represents the element of metal in traditional Chinese culture, also symbolizing purity and innocence. In some instances, however, white is associated with death and is a color commonly worn at funerals.

I prefer grey/silver. I know when I see a Tesla on the road, the interior is glowing white.
