Dr. Gao Yaojie passed away yesterday.
She was a personal hero of mine - a smart woman & dissident of an evil regime who stood up for people more vulnerable than her & prevented countless more from being sick.
An evil regime caused her to flee to the US when she was in her 80's.
I'm sad her passing isn't making bigger news - but I'm glad she led a fulfilling life & lived the last years of her life well & earning many humanitarian awards. I thought I would share with the community.
