Don't take your phone for a swim.

Was sitting outside this morning reading.
On a whim I went over and jumped in the pool.
Damn it, my iphone was in my pocket. An expensive swim!
Oh well, good excuse to upgrade to 3Gs I guess.

I fried my phone LY during a canoe trip!

Now I use a dry bag...
The idea of any boat is staying on the water not in it.

I have a water proof pouch for just such activities.
Would hate to get my cigars wet.

The phone got fried due to water accumulating in the canoe from splashing... hence the "Dry bag" I keep my wallet, camera and phone in there now for every trip... I works great even for White Water Rafting! :D

Dry bag sounds like a very uncomfortable condition.
Lotion will help that

you know i love you CG,
but really, can't you leave your phone someplace when you are enjoying a canoe trip?

p.s. dumb-ass....roflmao

LOL! Thanks Amber! I LUV U 2!

But, you know.... I needed the phone to call the shuttle to let them know we were done and they could come pick us up! Typically we finish the canoe trip much faster than "average"... In this case, we had to wait an extra hour for the shuttle!

Awesome people and very professional. The trips they offer are outstanding.

We did the White Water Rafting on the Genesee through Letchworth! It was awesome... (The kids had a blast as did Mrs. Cycleguy and myself of course!)

The above pic was taken during one of the calmer periods of course, I was a little busy trying to steer the raft safely during the rapids! LOL

Great rafting there and in ZOAR Valley. Every year well lose people to the rivers because they underestimate the river. Can be some serious White Water.

One of the best days on the water ever (Moose River) http://www.aroadventures.com/images/moose.jpg

Actually it is between the lower falls and Mt. Morris Dam... There's about a 5 km stretch that has a number of class I and class II rapids throughout...

http://www.adventure-calls.com/rafting.html#1

When we were there- they were saying the water levels were the best they have seen in years due to all the rain this spring.

Very nice
I remember on fall I did the Black at 10,000 CFM it normally runs 800 to 1400. Turned a 4 to 6 hour trip into an hour and fifteen minutes of kick ass CLASS V.
There is a point where you portage the raft around a falls. We debated on shooing it until another company's raft got away and went over the falls. Convinced us to carry.
