There’s a skill-set to being a sports talking head who does the highlights on shows such as Sportcentre or Sportsnet Central. You’ve got to be able to pronounce a lot of difficult names. You have to know when to emphasize a word or phrase. You can’t make repeated errors. Generally, the ones who do it on the 2 shows I mentioned are pretty good, with some exceptions (looking at you Cory Woron). I think the very best of them is Jennifer Hedger. I almost never hear her stumble. And she’s easy on the eyes.
