It always costs money to cancel commercial contracts. However, the question is how much money will taxpayers save over the life of the energy supply contracts for the overpriced energy of these so-called green energy projects (I think the standard supply deal was for 30 years at guaranteed rates well above the market). The article doesn't address the savings side of the cancellations.
If more money was saved than spent as a result of cancelling the projects, would you agree that it was a sound financial decision?
