My view is that "civilized speech" is merely a mask. For example, in Canuckdom, the party of immigrants (namely the Liberals) is as full of racists and bigots as any other party, but I just think that their ability to keep on a mask of seeming welcomeness to immigrants is much better than any other party. Under the right circumstances, the true nature of some members of the Liberal party would become clear (rather like the Reform Party and the Consertives who used to regularly have their now unsaid voices heard. One of the finer things Harper did was silence the scum, but the scum is, as we all know, still there, just as it is amongst the Liberals).
Our civilization is built on b.s. and lies. Useful b.s. and useful lies to be sure, but b.s. and lies all the same.
Again, your thoughts? What does the stream of vile evil commentary about Bush, Obama, right wingers, left wingers, Woody, Papasmurf and others mean? Are humans merely well dressed orcs? Are we all servants of Sauron in one way shape or form?
