Does iCloud "just work" for you?

It doesn't for me.

Constant errors, the files that are in iCloud delay before playing and when I updated to iOS6 it lost half my music. Apple instructed me to do a backup and restore, which I did. THAT lost me more shit. In App purchases...gone. There are more issues. It's a total fucking mess.

Unlike those who have an unreasoning hatred of Apple, I don't care that their products are not the most cutting edge etc. I have been willing to pay a premium price for their products because up to now the experience of using Apple products showed they cared about the customer's experience. Since iCloud, using my phone has been like using a Microsoft product. Shit.

Surprised it is still so farked up!
I mean Cloud computing is nothing new anymore.
Linux peeps have been using it for years, before Apple decided to attempt to utilize the Cloud!.....:D

How did you sync your iOS 6 update over the wifi network or on your computer if you sync it on your computer then it possible due to a setting preference on you computer on what to sync to your phone

On your iPhone go into iTunes then go into purchases and you can download all your purchase again without paying a single cent depending on your data package of course I myself have six gigs of data so between over the network downloads and wifi downloads I got everything back when I upgrade my phone from the iPhone 3GS 32g to the iPhone 4s 64g

It does "just work" for me but I don't use it for backup... I do use the music cloud service (which matched my library of 14k songs very well).

Don't use it, don't trust it. Somewhere out there someone I don't know is the custodian of my important files, nope.

I tried it many times with the cable connected to the computer and once over wifi. I did try to transfer the purchases, got an error saying it could not do so. Currently it's syncing, sort of, but shows 38 gig "over capacity" reading of "other" data (yellow bar) on my 64 gig phone. Ridiculous.

I've googled all of the error codes, and as I said, the only recommended Apple fix I could find recommended a restore and reboot...which fucked things up more. The in-app purchases are gone. I'm talking about magazine subscriptions, game add ons...the restore erased them all. I'm so fucking mad. Will cool off before contacting Apple support personally.

And the play back works seamlessly? Then you're the first I've heard that from. Everyone I know reports some lag in playing back stuff. The iTunes Match did work, (I've also got 14k ++ songs, audio books etc), but while at first it did upload (albeit slowly), the unmatched tunes, it is now refusing to upload more frequently saying the file "not eligible" for iCloud or some such garbage. I paid for storage...why can't I store what I want?

Love the phone itself, also have the iPad 2 and it works great, but since iCloud, Apple has taken a serious downgrade for me.

Depending on data connection (3g or wifi) I wait 5-10 seconds for a song to start playing.... maybe 15... not instantaneous but not a hinderance..

I don't know that I've ripped a disk since doing the music match so I can't speak to issues with that.

I was in Paris last week and downloaded a movie from the cloud over wifi... that took 2.5 - 3 hours... I started it and went to dinner... but it was over 2g
