What is rude about leaving a voicemail.? If you don't want to be bothered checking voicemail then remove it from your plan. Not everyone is calling from a mobile that can text. Landline calls do still exist.I rarely check voicemail and get annoyed when people leave messages instead of texting. It actually seems rude to me now.
You are right, it is not rude. But it does seem that way. I still have voicemail for the older people in my life. What is rude about leaving a voicemail.? What drives me crazy is I leave a voicemail, the person calls me back and haven't listened to the voicemail and then I have to repeat it again from memory.
Millennials and Gen Z'sI guess its a generational thing because I leave voice messages and I get voice messages on a consistent basis.
Well said. Some people assume that if they call you and you don't answer and they don't leave a message that you will call them back. I've given up on that. It assumes you have caller ID and also that the call wasn't a butt dial. If the person calls and doesn't leave a voice mail (or sends an email or text with something more than 'please call me') I don't call them back.If you have voicemail, you are inviting the caller to leave a message, so check it FFS. To not do so is rude and / or unprofessional. If you don’t want voicemail messages, get rid of voicemail. It’s simple.
