Do you really think the hobby is addictive?

A lot has been said recently about sex addiction. Is this just the newest catch phrase, or do you think there is truth to it?

I mean, guys are biologically hardwired to want to have sex with as many beautiful, nubile women as possible. It harkens back to spreading ones genes and ensuring humanity survived. So, it is natural that we should feel an inner urge to have sex when we see a beautiful nubile woman, yes? So why call it sex addiction?

I think it helps CUT the drive....maybe my age is catching up too --but it seems like what you can not get you want more....after years of enjoying great gals, its like not that big of a deal if I can not get a certain gal...you still have a good idea at least how it be and you can book a gal the same age and hight instead...so to me thats good enough.

I think you're mixing up two addictions here: addiction to sex (which is a very real addiction) and addiction to hobbying. IMO they are two separate entities.

1) Addicted to hobbying: Yes, I think some guys can become addicted to it because it is so easy to get. Just about no matter where you are, what time it is, or what you're doing, all you have to do is pick up the phone and whoop there it is.

2) Addicted to sex: As the OP said, yeah nature hardwired us to spread our seed but when that becomes so ingrained into us that it is always (and I don't mean once an hour, that's normal lol) on our minds? That's addiction but only if you partake, just thinking about it isn't an addiction. Specially when you're not getting any! lol....

Almost anything can be addictive, for example I am addicted to potato chips!
