Do you get turned off by women that swear a lot?

Outside of the usual “f****” in the bedroom and such.

Let’s say you are having a conversation with a beautiful lady and every few words she drops a bomb. Is it a turn off or you don’t care?

I was catching up with a friend and realize how much she swears. Sh*t, f**** and all the French Canadian ones.

Kinda, but I shouldn't because I've got a foul mouth too.
I try not to swear around women but sometimes I can't help it.
30+ years in a factory will do that to a guy. LOL

I have "two reactions" to this question. A negative one - yes, it does turn off a little bit, I prefer a girl with romantic image. The positive part is that every swear word leads to a "punishment" and I have the variety of it. :)

Depends what you mean by turn off.
Does it deter me from fucking her? No. Tends to make me assume she’s a bit low class and that brings out my dominant side.
Does it deter me from hanging around with her outside of sex? Yes. As stated above, tends to make me think they are low class/a bit stupid. Not someone I want to have deep conversations with.

I don't mind it to be honest - its a turn off when its forced, no need to try to hard.

Interesting question. Do you get turned off by a man that does it?

I have a bit of a potty mouth, and it's habit I would really like to break. I just think it sounds awful. Periodically I catch myself and I'll try make a conscious effort to stop, but the next day I forget fall back into the habit.

Nope, the opposite for me. There are several studies linking the use of profanity with higher intelligence, contrary to the arguments made by mostly religious types who think it's a sign of limited vocabulary.

Thank you for asking. It depends on the setting, if we’re in private it’s fine, if we’re having dinner out, it will annoy me. It also depends how loud the person is and if they’re just upset about a situation or if it’s just their everyday vocabulary.

“Depends”
Generally speaking yes. True for both men and women.

However, there are situations and occasions where it doesn’t phase me at all. I personally do not swear a lot. But I do when I’m at work. It also depends on “the audience”. If I’m at a fine restaurant and my date is swearing a fair bit. Turn off. If we are at a rowdy pub and she’s keeping up with the boys, doesn’t feel out of place or her element. Turn on

Yup. It is. I rarely swear in day to day life. Certainly not at work. And when I was dating I didn't either. I expected the same from anyone I dated. Its not witty, or edgy.

I am actually trying to cut back on my swearing. An older man recently said to me, "you seem like such a classy and intelligent lady but you swear too much."

It's funny because I never used to swear at all. I think it started in the last few years during some stressful periods like Covid.

I think those studies are joke. I lean towards the religious types beliefs at 60%.

It is a turn off for me. Maybe one per day when you have situation with yourself / partner but more than 3 swears a day... I question that with what heavy issues does this person have. Now it is okay to detox or purge for an hour swearing IF you are by yourself.

In high school there was girl who lived 5 houses over from me, we talk for a 3min, a few times but not really much she walked with her friend. Was sort of friends with my sibling because they were in the same grade and school, but sibling avoided her, different interest.

She always dressed sexy but had no money, and she would wear a skirt mainly from April 1 to Oct 31. Cosmetics and the works BUT her face she hides it with her hair because it was sort swollen, I think she slept on her face. She took general or applied classes, I think she did better than me in life because I think she became a hairdresser.

So one day she walked with me for 10 minutes - her friend absent, so was mine - She swore every other word. I timed her how many swear words and it was 60 words in 60 seconds. Yes she wanted to jump in bed with me, but I didn't want that swearing and she seem the type that would call the police if you dumped her and accuse you of something.

I did bump into her 20 years later from high school with her mom, ass got big, single and cosmetics and she didn't say hello. I was surprised to see her taller than me.

In adult hood I met some women that swear, I kept my distance no matter how free "it" was.

It is a turn off for me if it's during regular conversation. It actually makes me abit uncomfortable being around someone who swears in every sentence that comes out of their mouth. Unless it's part of sex talk in the bedroom I don't like it. These days it seems like dropping the f bomb in every sentence is just part of a person's normal vocabulary which is dissapointing.

I’ve been reading a lot lately and most dating coaches will tell you that it’s not feminine to swear and that it’s the reason men won’t be seen in public with you.

Lucky for me, I was simply not allowed to curse growing up so it never became an habit.

I like it when one can work the word fuck as a noun, verb, adjective and adverb in the same sentence.
"That dumb fuck fucking ran after fucking over that other fucking guy."

I don’t like it when women swear in public…but if they show their tits in public, well I’m all for that.

yip, its a turnoff for me. More swearing less beautiful.

We all swear at certain situations but my first impression of people who swear constantly are 'generally':
- negative all the time. Rarely have anything positive to add.
- biggest complainers
- lack of class
- think they are tough but more weak minded
- disrespectful
- angry, hostile and short tempered

Definitely a turn off...watching all these shows on streaming Fuck is every other word from women (Ted Lasso, Murders in the Building, The Morning Show). C'mon...it doesn't shock any more and it's lazy fucking writing...if I can be permitted to use it in this context.
