I love to gamble! I wager at least $10 000 a week on Sports whether it'd be offshore Sportsbooks or proline or making a trip down to Las Vegas.
However, Sports gambling or gambling in general is not for the faint at heart and should be handled with CAUTION!!!
Having said that, I have made a lot of money with Sports gambling and wanted to know if any members gamble nightly like I do and would like to share some stories with you and Sports you like to wager on and why? Cheers mates.

Did you say TEN THOUSAND a week? holy shit balls!...must be nice!

Well, mind you, its the bankroll you build to get to wager that much in a week. The benefit is playing with their money once you've made money in it!

It does pay to Gamble and don't let anyone tell you different!
You just have to know what you are doing and don't bet blind!
Information is the key to Sports gambling and doing your homework and above all, money management!

It's the same thing in the stock market when dealing with for example: Boston Market, well its the same thing in Sports this time it's Boston Bruins.

Cheers mate.

I can't take this claim of $10,000.00 per week seriously when he includes betting on sportsline. No serious gamble would bother with sportsline...it is for suckers!

HandsomeRob....good for you....sounds like you not only have the magic touch but work hard at it too....i'd love to be able to do that but i dont have the $$$ or the patience to do that much homework.....i would be sooooo into that though...went to Vegas during March Madness and it was incredible....my problem was as you said...i didnt do my homework...won alot of money at first but lost it all and more by the end of the trip...it was fun though
Trust me though when I say bet with CAUTION because in this buisness you'd be suprised what goes on in Sports. One person told me best in Vegas last time I was there when he said,
he only watches the 4th quarter of a NBA game because it's the only quarter that matters. He also said, the only thing that matters is you are on the correct side of the wager. Meaning, their are SHARKS who wager big $$$ on the right side of a game and don't be surprised if the refs have a say on the game, if you know what I mean! There have been specials on ESPN and various television stations on the corrupt side of gambling. You just have to hope you are on the right side of a game in many cases! I have seen scams on some many games, it would make your head spin! Why do you think game totals or spreads are so close to the number with end result?

Anyway, myself and good friend of mine really do are homework on wagering and sometimes it pays off and sometimes it doesn't!
More often it does because you follow the trends and stats etc...
But don't ever bet with your heart because you like that team. Bet with your head and not over it!

Good luck!

high-rollers.

I've made a more than decent living off the book for a long time.
Enough said.

BTW, the high-rollers I know would never come out and shout out about how much they bet in a week and would never look to "chat" about it on a public board with people they don't know.

Agree with Max W on this one -- sounds like someone has pulled one too many Nevada tickets and is giddy -- his grammar is that of a 14 year old -- and just so you know -- the games don't need to be fixed for the house to win the percentages -- all that BS about fixed refs and shaving points is way overblown.

I bet a ton (ususally 10-12k) between superbowl and march madness, mostly on march madness, however this years superbowl was a great one, I cleared about 11k after the vig. I agree this is a tough habbit an should be taken lightly, but that said it is enjoyable if you win.

If I had that to play with I'd bet it. but having 10k a week to play with would mean I had so much and had done so much of what I want out of life..... 10k at the tables in vegas though... where is that old visa i was saving?

Obviously this is coming from someone who doesn't know anything about Sports gambling because it's guys like you who post comments like this!
As far as grammar? buddy, this is a message board, I'm not here to impress anyone especially you who judges a person who makes remarks about topics like " Sports gambling " and is pointed out for his grammar, get real! BTW, your writing is nothing to be impressed about either, junior. And I could use a wide vocabulary if you like, but you'd have something to really gloat about then.
And wake up already! Refs and shaving points is overblown? it's people like you that are on the outside looking in because you've never experienced how the sports gambling society really is! I got news for ya, it's even more obvious you know nothing about sports gambling and games that are fixed with a comment like that! A high roller in Vegas told me all about nature of the beast and gambling101, so don't hand me your b.s. theory on it! I'll take his word over it, not yours!

Yes I am so giddy over wagers on proline or what you refered to Nevada tickets. It's called loose change and throwing it down on an Ontario lottery gaming choice, BIG DEAL !

I guarantee I tip more then you make as a salary!

Cheers mate!

you tip more than I make?

great. enjoy it playa! you must be very proud.

outside looking in?

yeah. ok. I feed my family off guys like you, have been for years - my "theory" as you call it comes from running a real book, but you believe whatever you like about "the boogeyman / black helicopters / the underworld" needing to control the whole thing -- really, whatever make you sleep at night...

if you ever get in at TSN or Sportsnet, let me know, I'll buy you a coffee at the Niner...

10-12K you say? Not bad profit after the Vig Kooley! Keep it up!!!

Look dude, I am not hear to argue with ya, let's make that clear.
You feed your family off guys like you? lolololololol
Running a Sportsbook? There is a Sportsbook on the Internet that I deal with that have made close to $300,000 in a year! You can believe what you want! But yeah, you're right, it's guys like me you feed your family over? NOT IN YOUR DREAMS !
I'm not one of the suckers, hate to break to ya! I do my homework and I don't piss my money away like the suckers you have!

As for TSN or Sportsnet? If it happens it happens, but at this point in time, I've made enough money that half the people at a real job wouldn't make in 5 years!

More like I'd buy you a coffee at a real place, it's called TIM HORTONS!

P.S. It makes sense now that you hate hearing about the "fixed" games now that you mention what " you do ".... More power to ya!

Cheers mate.

no arguments here...

...I do what I do, you do what you do -- peace.

My list keeps me happy and well paid -- never said it was MY book, I'm merely a worker bee...

...have to admit the online books have taken a good chuck of the street action -- but don't kid yourself about the network of books running all of the action back to Montreal -- read into this what you will.

btw, "the Niner" is the name of the cafeteria at the CTV / TSN / Sportsnet building -- coffee's great -- maybe I'll see you around there someday.

nobody here says they are high rollers. wagering $10,000 a week doesn't mean "high-rollers"

if someone wager $3000 a game , 33 games a week that makes $10,000.

if you really a bookie you should know a lot of people are wagering more than that.

BTW, how much juice you charge on a game?

Hey....I play horses....does that count. Most people don't like horse gambling because of the work involved....but it all comes down to money management. Cheers

Paul, its true the the house always win, but betting on sports is different. betting on sports is like shopping, you can shop around n find the line that you have the more chance to win.

the line will change just like in the stock market, for example the line now for the Raptors is +3 1/2 points, it may not be the same when the game start or even the next minute, if you can catch the line change and bet it on the local bookie you have a much better chance to win.

if you know people in this business you 'll know that so many street bookie got kill.

maybe you don't know wtf I am talking about, because you are not a gambler.

my apologies..

...to Remy if I offended anyone by not considering them "high-rollers" -- my only point is that the people I deal with are not into spilling their guts online about how much they bet through me...

to answer your question, 5% juice on basketball is average what you can get anywhere, but the vig varies based on the account in question, their current balance status and what my direct report (for lack of better term) is willing to give as grace...

and you're bang on about getting line changes -- very perceptive, but still "they don't build casinos on what they give away" eh? -- same goes for bookies -- we can't live on what we lose...
