because it seems that the people don't have enough "energy" to find a trash bin once the drink has been consumed.

I toss my empty cans on the ground, instead of in the trash to make it easier for the hoards of homeless people who scour the city searching for recyclable to return to the bottle depot for cash.... besides it gives them a sense of accomplishment, helping beautify the city
I am not surprised.

My vote is with no. http://www.sciencecases.org/energy_drinks/energy_drinks.pdf I have done lots of studies over the past with ingredients in different foods. Yellow number 5 is actually tartrazine which is a coal tar. A lot of the artificial flavours and colours are things that you would not believe, blood from bugs etc... I have also read in the past that these energy drinks may boost you now but makes for a much bigger drop later. Some make claims with nothing to back them up. Obviously some are better than others but over all not for everybody.

I know what you mean. Just last week I saw a jogger just toss his water bottle after he was done onto the grass like it was nothing.

I can't remember the movie but the best solution would be...

Tossin' your trash in the street? That's a beatin'.

Not recycling your energy drink can? That's a beatin'.

Bein' an asshole? Beatin'.
