Hey gang,

My computer is not allowing me connect to the majority of the internet and is claiming DNS problems and key port issues. Funny enough, I can fully access TERB...

Any ideas on how to solve this? I have already tried the following command prompt:

ipconfig /flushdns
net stop dnscache
net start dnscache

Any ideas would be helpful! Thanks!

I would hazard a guess that the problem is not at your end but with the DNS server(s) that you are allocated. Have you checked with your ISP?

as long as you have terb what else you need anyways:cool:

You didn't give us any sort of info. OS? Router? ISP?

Anyhow ...

Clear your browser. Everything ... history, cache, cookies and etc.

From command prompt, ping here ---> www.yahoo.com. If you get a response back, use your browser to access it with the same IP

If NOT, then ping this one ---> 66.94.230.33.

Check your HOST file and see if there is any extra (unwanted due to virus and etc.) entries there or it's default.

Whether these help or NOT, last hope and keep these forever. If using a router, get ride of default DNS values and use these:

208.67.222.222
208.67.220.220

If no router, then reconfigure your DNS setting on your OS by using the above values. Those would bypass your ISP DNS values. If you are with Rogers or Sympatico, then use them for sure. It's for your own good! Full details here: www.opendns.com

Good luck
