Disqus dot com has a number of message boards on various topics. I used it a lot when I posted in comments on thedirty dot com a few years ago, but not since. Many sites that take comments are connected to disqus. If you see a ^ or a v instead of a likes/ dislikes choice, the comments might use disqus.

What I really liked on thedirty, (it no longer prints comments and has not been part of disqus since early 2017), was that the sequence in which the comments appear is based on upvotes, (^) received, rather than the time stamp, so either the best comments go to the top, or a comment to which the replies are popular. Board veterans knew how to manipulate the board sequence skillfully. You can't organize that, because there's no private communication on the board. Everything is in plain sight. Disqus shows you which members have given you an upvote. If there were a lot of comments on one story, a very good comment can go unread, because many people read only the top rated comments at the top.

Disqus also has a robot moderator. When you type something, there's a pause for a variable time, then your post is published or pended. Very few posts from pending ever get published, but the post will appear in one's profile, view of past posts, with certain words or phrases highlighted, meaning you've used words that are flagged. One of my posts was pended because I wrote "LucasFilms".
