Does anyone know of a good DirecTV dealer/installer in T.O.??
I'm only interested in actually subscribing with DirecTV and not looking for a burned access card.
This person must be able to set up the dish on my balcony as well.

Not much on a p4 hack yet. There is some false advertising floating around .... Seems everyone is moving over to DISH or using FTA. There are forums (like TERB) for this sort of thing. PM if you want to join a good community.

Path of least resistance .... I'm told that Dishnet is a pain in the ass to re-program but it goes down much less than DirectTV did apparently.

Not true....it broke down every 3 weeks with me. Also you have to bring in the entire receiver which is a pain.

BTW ..... FTA stands for Free - To - Air.

I guess I'm not breaking any rules if I post a link since they're just a discussion forum. (Sorry if I am).

I have Dishnet and the card really only goes down about every six months or so but whats been happening lately is that the pay per view channels get knocked out every couple of weeks so that puts a dent in the porn channel area, but otherwise the channels stay up

re:dishnetwork

Dishnet is the real deal!!! Ever since I got it in may, It's only gone down totally 1 time. It's gone down a few times where I can't get the ppv movies. Direct TV was easier to program but some times it was a daily thing. I still kept my direct tv because I do know the P4card will be making a return some day!

I've had Direct once again for the last couple of weeks. Cost = $150 CAD for three months but no pay for view or porno. Still HBO & Showtime make it worthwhile as well as the specialty channels not offered by basic cable. When the card was first programed it had approximately $50 CAD for pay channels but that went flat after a couple views on the high 500's. This leaves me to believe that there are cracks out there but I just don't know where. This should improve in the near future. The porno channels lacking aren't an issue as I have small children and they are quite happy to have the Disney channels and programing directed towards them.
