My AC died 3 days ago. For some stupid reason i have a maintenance contract with Direct energy. They came by the same day I called. I am told the unit is old and the part takes 3 days to come in. Well it is day 4 and no part. Spend almost 3 hours trying to get an answer out of them today. Told the part will be in tomorrow. Meanwhile its 87 in my house. If I get no service tomorrow I will have to actually call an HVAC company to take a look. Direct Energy sucks and never get any maintenance contract with them.

I couldn't agree more, these people are the lowest form of bottom feeding pond scum.
They used to before as Direct Energy, in the beginning. British gas bought them some time ago and no door to door since then, but yes many years ago they had a bad image. Why they did not change the name beats me.
DE kept charging me without a valid contract. Took almost a year and the Ontario Energy Board to get things fixed. I was refunded my money but they "don't pay interest". Sheisters - stay away from them.
You know what? Fuck you! I just had these cocksuckers at my door not 5 minutes ago: http://www.directenergy.com/en/ontario/services/home-services.aspx Door-to-motherfucking-door. They pulled the old "we are not selling anything" and even tried "we were just in the neighbour's house over there and..." bits. Pushy, won't-take-no-for-an-answer, foot-in-door belligerent fucksticks who kept trying to enter my home and tried to convince me that they were some sort of official, govermentally-sanctioned and obligatory inspection service. FUCK them! Words cannot begin to describe my contempt and rage at the thought that right now, this very second, these amoral cuntstains are going down the street looking for gullible and vulnerable people to rope in. Fuck you for lying, and fuck your shilling bullshit. These hustlers, and their fucking enablers, are the lowest of the fucking low.
