Because Cons are good and pure and honest. They're all politicians, and very few successful ones are ever in it for the honesty, integrity, and sincere betterment of the country they live in.

Besides, since when is an article in the Sun (which doesn't contain sex, sports, or murder) considered journalism?

There are good journalists in all the newspapers! the 'Sun' more so than most, since they publish articles representing all shades of political opinion.

But then again, this would be too difficult a concept for a closed minded left wing reader to understand....

It might be, if I were a left winger and also not a graduate of one of the top journalism schools in Canada. Rags like the Sun, Le Journal de Montreal, or the Daily Mail give real newspapers like Globe and Mail and Le Devoir a bad name.

I've never understood the expression " one of the top".. To me the "top" is a descriptor of a single person or thing, alone above the others. That would make the phrase seem a little odd for a "top" journalist to use, wouldn't it.

Nitpicky tonight, aren't we?

"Top" is measure of success a body would have in a field. The criteria vary from subject to subject. "One of the top SP's" is a term used on this board for companions who give memorable service. That term doesn't seem odd to you, but "one of the top universities" does?

C'mon! There are better ways to defend your position.

Yes i was, i took a detour out of the Politics section for awhile and found that.

While the phrase may be in common use, that doesn't make it seem any less odd.

I just have a problem whenever anyone tries to play the educational elitist game.

As usual the sun gets everything wrong. I recommend never reading anything in the business section either.

I just did my house, and $8800 was my total credits. They forget to mention that the province matches all the credits. I'm a little pissed if this goes through and I miss out on another $8800!!

If the Sun is a rag paper (and yes there's alot of crap filler in it) then what do you consider the Star? I picked up a copy of this liberal rag yesterday and in the comment section it asked for responses to "pondering a conservative majority". Of the 21 letters to the editor how many do you think were supportive of a majority conservative? 1. 1 out of 21 is less than 5%. Do you think that is indicative of the GTA population's beliefs? This paper is so biased, almost a leftist dictatorship mentality. At least the Sun allows comments from the left.

Exactly! It amuses me to hear someone who claims to be a 'graduate' of a top journalism school write off a major newspaper like the Sun as a 'rag' and imply that the many talented writers who contribute to it are muck-raking know nothings! What an elitist attitude! Some of it's writers past and present include top criminal defence lawyer Edward Greenspan, Peter Worthington, Sheila Copps (ex Liberal Cabinet Minister), Bob Rae (ex NDP Premier of Ontario and current Federal Liberal MP), Stephen Lewis, former NDP Leader and currently with UNO, and scores of others from all shades of the political spectrum. But never mind! They don't know crap!(according to our 'graduate') otherwise they wouldn't disgrace themselves contributing to a 'rag'!!

The fact is, I enjoy reading the Sun, with it's balanced group of writers of all political persuasions. 'The Star' and the 'Globe & Mail' have a left-Lib bias, although there are good writers in both papers.
