Ive always liked Pantera. They we're one of my favourite bands back in my grunge years.
this is a terrible act of violence. Dimebag was a very well respected and talented guitarist and producer. they even started making signature guitars after him.

I'm not trying to be a dick, but I was totally ignorant of who this person is...or his band...I'm afraid I'm not into rap at all. I usually find out who rappers are when they get shot....I come from the late 70's early 80's generation....If Steven Tyler or Mick Jagger got killed, then I would know who you are talking about. Most young people would look at me funny when I bring up a name like Leon Wilkeson, or Ronnie Van Zandt. Or Rick Danko. I catch myself doing this all the time. Just because you know of someone, and think he/she is famous, please don't think that everyone will know who you're talking about....

Pantera has been around since '83 with their first album "Metal Magic".They where kind of glam rock when they first started (ie: Motley Crue,Twisted Sister,Poison,Cinderella etc) then they turned hardcore and left the makeup and big hair and silly lingere type costumes behind.

He said the hostage, "probably a fan, maybe someone who worked with the band," was able to maneuver out of the way before the officer fired."
