dial up internet providers - I need a new one.

Hi All,

As stated above, I can only get dial up, no dls, nothing fast just dial up. I am with sympatico now, have been for 4 months, and it has been 4 months of hell. Always getting disconnected, the dial up accelerator is a POS because 90% of the time it slows you down more than speeds you up. So, can anyone provide the name of a good reliable dial up provider? I need a barrie number for the service to be local. feel free to pm me if you want

WHen I first got the internet in Barrie I was on BarrieConnex, I don't know if they are still around but if they are they were very good, and local too!

edit: Just took a look and it appears that they were bought out some time ago by Look Communications, still offer dial up though.

what about the Rogers wireless option with a modem card?

Bell may not be there yet but Rogers ( i hate them btw) have this option where you can put a card in your computer and get highspeed wifi.

Worth checking out.

AOL works well.

I used AOL for all my dial up years...I found them to work well and they have lots of security and support for you.
