This was on Your Daily Huff a few days ago. It talks about the status of East Indians in Canada. Noncontroversial and fairly interesting.

One point that I found particularly interesting is that the Indian government has established a government ministry on behalf of ethnic Indians abroad. It is dealing with citizenship issues for Indians born overseas and is operating some kind of program to bring the young ones back to India for summer holidays.

For similar reasons to Ukraine India has had "issues" with dual nationality since Independence. Since the 1970's this has increasingly unintentionally caught up Indians who have moved to North America and the U.K. (particularly those who have married westerners) and children born overseas.
