I had 2 implants done at the same time and it was just 2 times the price.
And though I'm not a dentist, it would seem to me that there is no such thing as "a very small filling". I assume they froze your mouth, drilled and filled.
The price is the same.
And I don't think 110 is a bad price.
I wasn't given or needed any freezing so that is why I think they were small fillings. I was charged for 3 fillings at $110 each and the whole process took only half an hour in the chair (not that I'm complaining about less time in the chair).agreed. My last filling cost me $180.
How much are Heath plans? $200-$300 per month on the low end? And what's the max per year you can claim for dental?? $500 -$1000. That's roughly what I recall last time I checked. Fill me in if you have a plan where you aren't losing money one way or the other. I'd be interested in signing upGet a health plan I pay $20 per visit and the dentist throws in a sucker and a toothbrush every visit
I feel your pain, both literally and metaphorically Cap'n. Just had some implants done as well. Bloody expensive and unlike buying a 48-pack of toilet paper at Cosco, there is no bulk discount.I don't think so...

Price wise dental implants are a total rip off. A friend of mine makes teeth for dentists and gets a very small amount per tooth. Her business has been dying for a few years as dentists can get teeth made even cheaper than she can do them. $1800 a tooth is a joke.Just had some implants done as well. Some companies have flexible health plans where each employee is granted a fixed number of "health dollars" at the beginning of every year. This means that every dollar you pay your dentist means one less dollar available for your RMT, prescriptions, life insurance, etc.fortunately, I have a pretty good plan through work, but still, once they find that out: "Oh, we think you should be coming in much more frequently. Yeah, your teeth need a lot more attention. Also, your x-rays haven`t been updated in awhile....Don`t worry, your plan will cover it." Gives you an idea what our American friends have to deal with ALL their heath care issues!
Yes, I paid $2,150 per implant recently. And that didn't include the crown. Just the bolt. Seems I have very hard cavity resistant teeth that are prone to cracking and then it's all over.I feel your pain, both literally and metaphorically Cap'n. Just had some implants done as well. Years ago I met a fellow Canadian recently married to a Russian woman. Her fillings were stainless steel! Also, she wore this huge watch which I suspect was actually a video recorder.Fixed my teeth in Croatia $1,600.
They are using the latest german technology. I would say is much better that what dentists use hereYears ago I met a fellow Canadian recently married to a Russian woman. Her fillings were stainless steel! Also, she wore this huge watch which I suspect was actually a video recorder.

So what kind of Dentist are you and where is your office? The needy and workplace injured are already covered under various programs like CINOT, Ontario Works, ODSP.
If OHIP is to cover dental, expect your taxes to go up.
You got screwed alright.$1,800.00?? I recently had a tooth extracted and an implant put in, done in the same sitting. Total cost was $3,300.00. I thought it was around the $2,300.00 they quoted but then there was the sedation charge and a whole slew of other miscellaneous charges. All that and I still, have to pay for the tooth when it's ready to go on in 4-6 months. Total scam, outrageous cost for 45 minutes in the chair and a small titanium screw. If I had of known it would end up that expensive I would have just had it pulled and forgone the implant and /or bridge.
