NATO Article 4, part of the North Atlantic Treaty, mandates that member states consult together when any of them believes their territorial integrity, political independence, or security is threatened.

Trump on Greenland: "Denmark is very far away. A boat landed there 200 years ago or something and they say they have rights to it. I don't know if that's true. I don't think it is, actually ... we really need it for national security ... maybe you'll see more and more soldiers go there."
(Of course, the Dumbass does not know the first thing about Greenland. Denmark went there 982)

The most enraging thing about Trump's raving is that it was made in the presence of the General Secretary of NATO, who said nothing.

Greenland based on Trumputin was a must have and I cannot see this behind closed doors not being shut down by NATO countries. I'm hoping and assuming that Mark Rutte didn't want to embarrass Trumputin on the world stage but behind closed doors NATO leaders shut this POS down.

80 years of peace and prosperity and checking Russian expansion in Europe.
A devastated set of countries rise up from the ashes and become safe and prosperous.
And yet one living, breathing Dunning-Kruger effect bloke can trash it in a month.
