Does anybody else feel the same way? Shane Mosely's corner even thought he was losing. They kept telling him he needed a knockout.

Is there something corrupt in this game? Do we just keep getting bad decisions in order to keep the sport in the news and create more excitement about it?

Any other thoughts?

I too think Oscar should have came away with the decision. This fight reminded me an awful lot of the Morales/Barrera II fight. Where as Morales carried the fight, but Barrera landed the harder shots. It seems as if Shane won becuase he landed the more damaging blows.

Hopefully Shane will go on to fight Ronald "Winky" Wright, and unify the division.

Oscar landed over 200 punches - 100 more than Mosely. I guess it will fuel the rematch. More proof that boxing is the most corrupt and ridiculous 'sport' out there.

The final score was 115 to 113 in Mosleys favour.

You better believe boxing is rigged. Just like figure skating. How much you want to bet the judges were French?

A rematch i hope not. Oscar said if he loses he retires. Let Mosley fight Vernon Forrest again. Forrest already kicked Mosley's ass twice. --- Kev

"Retiring" in boxing is like "retiring" from this hobby. See you in a few months Oscar!

The fight was close but by no means a robbery. 4 out 5 boxing writers at ringside had Mosley winning. 16 out of 28 writers had it for Mosley and 4 had it a draw. Well known media outlets like The Ring and Associated Press had Mosley winning by three or four points as well as Sports Illustrated. You can make a case for wither guy winning. Close fight that could go either way, but a lot of DLH's shots were missing wildly that was exaggerated by the announcers. Interesting fight though.....

Quantity vs Quality

Finally saw the fight. IThink people might be swayed by the announcers and the crowd. DLH missed a ton of punches. Though Mosely won more rounds and won them much more decisively.

Another thing, compubox is someone's (or is it the average of 3 people's) opinion of what landed and what didn't. It's not the infallable system people think it is. There are no computer chips in the fighters to count the scoring blows.

I agree with the above analysis. Oscar was the more active boxer, but does that mean he should win the fight?

Do you judge a fight by boxing skills and give out style points?
It started with the Russian Judges, then the French Judge, now we have the gay judges "Ossscar won the fight because he looked prettier...i just love the way his butt tenses up when he throws a jab...yummy"

I think that the fight should be based on who was the most hurt..but then again, who decides which fighter is more hurt. If you look at Oscar after the fight, he looks to be in worse condition than Moseley....(yes I know that he was head butted)

So as you can see the whole thing is very very subjective if you do not KO your opponent....and unfortunately for Oscar, he did not close the deal on Moseley..

i think the fight was pretty even whoever was given the loss would have a good case to complain. that said i find it hard to believe it was not a split decision
