Ritchie seems to think that the way to deal with people is to say "we will take no action against you, or defend ourselves in any way. If you attack us or break our trust, we will not retaliate or anything, we promise. By rolling over and pissing ourselves in submission, we will prove that we want peace and trust that nothing bad will happen to us".

I guess maybe he feels it works for him in his day to day life?
