A Panzeroto(i) can be baked or deep fried. The first one I ever had was fried. So, is this not a deep fried pizza (admittedly with no batter)?

hmmm, very close

I guess I was thinking about a traditional slice of pizza, battered, then deep fried for a minute or so

now that I think about it, it may not be viable in terms of physics

They have something called Pizza Logs out there, kind of a pizza roll, but deep fried...

I am having a coronary as I think about them...

At Mothers Pizza...

Mother's Pizza on Yonge north of Bloor... they bake it in the oven, then it is fried on the grill. The crust is very thin and comes off the grill very crispy. I Love It! It's Great!
