Is there a brand name for "USB flash drive" recommended to buy?
Or it dosen't matter, they're all the same?

They're definitely not all the same. I'd recommend a brand name like Sandisk. I also recommend a USB key that has the option to password protect it. That way if you ever lose it no one else can access all your data.

They burn out so definitely make sure you're backing it up on a regular basis.

I was just curious.

1st set I bought were no name brands from factory direct. They were Dane lec 512 mb if I'm not mistaken. Then bought 2 more 512 mb can't remember the brand name, guessing they were called Mr.Flash(PQ1).

Later Futureshop had a sale on the Kingston 8gb for 29.99, bought 2 of them last year I believe. Recently I just bought a OCZ Rally2 8gb because of relatives and friends.

They say "OCZ Technology" is really good! Especially the money you're spending it's worth it. Price, lifetime warrenty, aluminum case, slim, a little bit faster in speed(read/write), etc. Mind you I'm just taking about the "Rally2".

I know there's a difference like Standard, Professional, etc.
What I mean is, is there a difference among the same classification?
eg. Standard usb flash drive, like compared Kingston to Lexar to Sandisk etc.?
eg. Professional(meaning faster read/write) compared Kingston to Lexar to Sandisk?

What's your opinion on "OCZ Technology"-"Rally2" or just in general "OCZ Technology"? Just wondering if I made the right choice buying the Rally2, so far I've been happy with it!

Ok, guys, I'm using Synchplicity to back my family pics and personal docs onto someone else's free offsite storage, since I too have had corrupted discs. I can't afford to back up all my porn, and I'm not a business person, but if my computer crashes or burns, my personal files and pictures are stored somewhere outside the house, and not on crappy discs. I hope.
