Which other media hold the Liberals to account? The rest are just lapdogs.
First, I think we should all recognize that Rebel Media is not a news organization. They do not break important stories, they basically take reports from legitimate news sources and try to spin it in a way that pushes their right-wing agenda. He is a performance artists who's whole schtick is to get kicked out of events so he can stand on the sidewalk and cry about it. And then Rebel can pretend that someone is against freedom of the press or some such bullshit...or label the other media as suck ups on the government/Liberal teat.
So, when you view it through that accurate lens, it just re-enforces the whole notion that they are shit disturbers who are desperate for attention. They want to be like a Canadian mix of the Blaze, Breitbart, Project Veritas and InfoWars. They use these videos to raise money. How many times have the fundraised off of one of their reporters being removed or some right wing nut job getting arrested...That's their reason for being.

The NDP are in major trouble. They are projected to lose official party status. And their party is bankrupt.
You are right. I like a so-called news organization to give facts, not their spin on the facts. I expect a news organization to break stories, not make the story about them. Rebel plays this game where they try to crash an event without credentials, get kicked out, raise a stink about censorship or something, then fundraise afterwards. And, if you look at the roster of current and former employees....well, I hope your views are not in alignment with theirs...Faith Goldy, Gavin McInnis, Tommy Robinson...to name just a few.
I'm sorry, but David Menzies is a legend. I try to watch every rebel news video, that the "Menzoid", is in!!
He's not entirely wrong. Eza Lavant is quite the grifter, the 'fund raisers' Rebel News runs for various causes are really only ment for raising funds for Rebel News' continued operations. None of the money boomers gave for to this fool to help with legal bills the Courts 4 or for COVID fines went to the people they claimed to help.
On the other hand, they do occasionally break good news stories that the mainstream media completely ignores. The China Files come to mind as a really good example. Imagine the Canadian Armed Forces not only training pilots and soldiers in cold weather tactics but hosting them on Canadian soil while doing it. If Trump were in office at the time he'd throw the most epic temper tantrum of all times, fortunately it happened under Biden and the Canadian Armed Forces refused to continue the program after the two Michael's were forcibly detained in China.
Mostly Rebel News is as silentkisser described them, which is a shame as Canadian news media is in desperate need of organizations that don't bend so heavily to the left. The Menzoid is also hilarious, I will give him that much
Believe me when I say this; David is a really nice guy. I worked closely with him before Rebel. He can be funny. But he really isn't a journalist. And, that's basically the point I'm making here. Real journalists cover stories, not make themselves the story. He doesn't interview people for the most part, or try to hold the bureaucracy to account. No, he tries to crash events and films himself being denied entry or thrown off the property. Then he and Ezra cry about how they are being censured or that "Trudeau's" goons won't allow them to cover anything. In many ways, he's a shock jock, who tries to get reactions.
So government hypocrisy/corruption isn't a story we're interested in? No mainstream 'news' organization dares to go there. At least Rebel does. I support independent media whether its left or right leaning. Because they are not beholden to corporate masters.
Oh, my sweet summer child....What do you know about corruption and hypocrisy? Would it blow your mind that 99% of the stuff you're talking about was broken or covered by the mainstream media? Rebel didn't do it.If anything, they took that reporting/story and put a spin on it to either make the left look worse or the right look better....
And, while Rebel does get money from its YouTube channel and crowd sourcing...Ask yourself how they got started? Ask yourself who were the big backers? Might not have been corporations, per se, but since they are a private company, they do not disclose who owns or funded anything. Think of some of Canada's (and possibly American) wealthiest folks who may or may not own a chunk of the organization, spreading their views....Who is Ezra beholden too? Or True North Media....
You tube had de-monetized rebel news. IMHO, I think that Ezra is quite wealthy on his own. I heard that Ezra comes from family money!! I also think that rebel news and true north (now Juno News), also have some anonymous right wing backers, who can't stand the liberal regime. Don't forget, Justin basically funded all mainstream media. so of course, all canadian mainstream media, will be left-leaning in slant!!
Also, Justin and now Carney, don't even let rebel news ask any questions. In the 2019 and 2021 cdn elections, rebel news had to go to court, in order to even attend the election debates!!
IMHO, David Menzies is a charismatic journalist and also an entertainer. Menzies is covering stories, that the mainstream media won't touch. For example, Menzies covered a story of a male in Barrie, with fully intact male parts, playing in a rugby game, where the rest of the participants were all females. This dude, who just says he identifies as a woman, wound up injuring 4 females that day. Menzies tried to get ahold of the ontario rugby association about this injustice, but they never got back to him.
Can you imagine Rosie Barton at the CBC, covering this story---LOL So, Menzies is a journalist, he just covers stories that the mainstream media won't touch!!
Just changing the subject, if Pierre had even half the charisma of Menzies, then he might have a chance at winning the election. However, Pierre is boring as "fawk", and as a result Carney will wind up winning a majority government. I'm saying this as someone, who doesn't like the liberals!!
In other words, Menzies has similar traits to Trump, which is a good thing. Menzies is a showman, an entertainer, and a journalist all wrapped up into one. If Pierre had even half the charisma of both Menzies and Trump, then Pierre might have a chance to win this upcoming election. Unfortunately, Pierre has very little charisma at all, which will lead to Pierre's downfall!!
