Those of you who don't read the National Post on the weekend and haven't already seen this article will have to decide whether to read it now. It's not exactly uplifting:

The last paragraph sums it. " If China slumps," then what. Considering our current record high household debt , 1 and a half tril and counting, it's just a matter of time.

Some real estates agents both downtown/up town are still very optimistic though.

They have to appear to be optimistic, else they couldn't do their jobs effectively. That doesn't mean they're going to be right, tho. At what price point do people think average, dumpy victorians in Riverdale should stop rising, when they reach $1 million apiece?? I personally think the public's appraisel of real estate have gone off the deep end. I shudder to think what will happen when, not if, this real estate craziness ends.

I didn't believe Frum when he told us the Bush Republicans were on the right path, so why pay him any heed now?
