Anyhoo, saw a smoking hot black girl today, mid to late 20's, no wedding ring aND a 6 or 7 year old daughter with her. I got to thinking, what it would be like to date her, would the kid listen, would she have to? What about the father, he must be around somewhere.

Plus at a certain age if the kid isn't with them and you happen to meet, do you somehow throw it into the convo somehow. This girl was the age that would have been hard to guess she had a kid.

I have never thought of this. WOW as it seems rather unfair and ridiculous.

I have been dating a single mom with 2 daughters for the last 3 years.

Although challenging, there are some rewards in it, and because there are so many single parents out there it is a reality. Also, there is a chance that you will have a huge, positive influence on the child. In my case, the dad is a real ass, and the daughters are seeing - and have mentioned - the difference in the way I treat Mom. In my case, it is split custody so it might be slightly easier.

The other thing to consider, is the kids will be busy when teenagers, and then go to university. You will barely see them at that point.

For me, because I don't have kids (which probably also makes it easier), it is an opportunity to help raise children, and there are rewards there.

While challenging, we make sure we discuss everything and include the kids when necessary. The key is not to interfere with parenting - as much as possible - and honest communication.

On the plus side - if she's still hot after the kid there's a better chance she takes care of herself and you have a keeper. On the negative side - some guy was annoyed enough to head to the hills with that hot lady even though she had his kid.
