Pretty standard interim decision. The judge will not move Darwin before trial unless the applicant shows an overwhelmingly strong case on the evidence or irreparable harm to the little hairy motherfucker if the current status quo continues. She has to wait until the trial ruling to get the monkey back - if she wins.

Darwin's going to need a spring coat soon. She's willing to look after him and move to an area with no bylaws against having him. I see Stephen Harper has a chinchilla at 24 Sussex. She should get Darwin back.

She's going to have to argue that the contract wherein she gave Darwin to the sanctuary was obtained by duress or fraud. It's a workable argument.

She IS totally nuts and the little bastard is a mean, wee biter! OTOH, The sanctuary intimidated her into giving up a $10,000 monkey to them for free.

Just about 2 miles past appropriate
I knew someone that had a monkey many, many years ago. I don't remember what it was, something small. It was cute at first but smelled something awful and as it aged just became plain mean.

Primates just aren't good pets. As much as I don't like the idea that this lady lost her pet for violating what is in effect a by-law (imagine losing your car over a parking ticket) the odds are very high that the monkey will end up in a sanctuary in the end anyway.

As for the owner, yes she's a head-case but I'd let her touch my Monkey because the crazy ones are always the best in bed, if you can get away afterwards with your skin intact.

I'm Just saying...

What you wrote.

I know of one horror story, by now about a century and a quarter ago of a poor monkey that tried to imitate it's owner and slit it's throat with a straight razor. :frown:

Travis the Chimp was a lot bigger than Darwin. At the time, there were a lot of stories of chimps who had attacked and killed or mutilated humans.

Maybe the sanctuary plans to sell Darwin to the Iranians as part of their space program.

Re: Chimps etc. . . The most "chilled out" primates are Orangutans. However then we move into the question of besides the fact that both species are endangered it is ethical to keep them as pets.

Adult Male Chimpanzees are the opposite extreme, highly dangerous.
