the only segment I watch of Piers Morgan... Interesting interview and quite humbling to hear the Dalai Lama speak. Its surprising that he isn't a vegetarian like all Buddhist monks are, especially seeing how he is one of the most important. I heard he also has dirty thought and dreams, but unlike most of us, he has the ability to control himself and not go nuts when he can't get any lol He never listens to any kind of music or watches movies

This perimeter shield can consist if hundreds of body guards with machine pistols. He said he ate meat, he did not say he ate steaks. I missed the original broadcast, but I recorded the program on the replay over night. I found it very enlightening. Water was thrown on my head when I was young and they told me I was a Catholic, but I am more of a hybrid Buddhist with a single simple philosophy of do no wrong.
I believe there is a rule which does allow for monks to eat meat, as long as it's not prepared explicitly for them. It goes back to the practice (actually still present in Thailand) where monks had to make their rounds in the morning and beg for food.
