I installed my new router D-Link 612 Wireless N Router and now I can't seem to be able to login to Hotmail, Messenger nor Facebook? I'm able to go to the log in page but after that it won't let me in.

I checked my security settings in Firefox and Internet Explorer - and they are both set to medium security.

Any have any ideas or solutions?

Doesn't D-Link have a 1-800 help phone number?

When I bought a Linksys wireless router there was a problem, settings issue and I called a 1-800 number and Linksys solved the problem in a couple minutes.

I don't believe there is a D-Link 612. Do you mean 615? Perhaps there's a solution somewhere here: http://forums.dlink.com/index.php?board=138.0

In any event, it would probably be a more appropriate place to ask your question.

Plug computer directly into the cable modem bypassing the new router and retest the access to those sites login. You may be barking up the wrong tree. Always good to verify things..If proved to be router there is not much in a router that would stop you other then firewall but it wouldn't deny you access to those sites cuz Firewalls do not do that. You wouldn't even get the page ..

Only other thought is NAT - Network address translation is screwing you up but thats a long shot..
