Stay the hell away from Cuba. Anyone who thinks that it is a great place for women is living ten years in the past. At best, 1997 was the last time it was worth going. The cops are everywhere now, and they will arrest any women who goes near you.

No, not the same as in it's heyday but still a wild trip... I'd correct the excellent info above by saying prices are $30 and up -- $100 would get you a showgirl at the Tropicana.
But there's so much more to Cuba than the sex scene... actually on my last visit, I found myself getting disgusted by the antics of the global sleazoids who descend on Havana. And once you dig a little under the surface to hear of how much people have to struggle just to get by, you'll think twice about travelling there just to take advantage of the victims of a social experiment gone horribly awry.

I was in Cuba last year (with family) and one of the guys I met in the hotel bar had a bit of a shake up. He met two girls on the beach who claimed to work for the hotel. They told him he could have both of them for a certain fee. Sounded good. He had both girls walked up to his room by hotel staff and had to pay them for it. Once the one girl started on him, the other went through his bags and took stuff out. When he noticed and said something they told him to shut up or they would call the cops or even just start screaming and he would be arrested and go to a Cuban jail.
Now what to do? He had grabbed some of his things, but not all, and pushed them out the door. Minutes later the hotel staff who walked them up showed up and demanded money for walking them out. He refused to pay, explained they just robbed him, and was given a hard time.
Not fun.

sheeesh...all the travel of going to Cuba just to get slick talked and screwed-over. For a real nightmare just stay here in Ontario and visit one of the nearby Collingwood Condo sharks (timeshare salespeople) who'll lure you in then fuck you royally for every penny you sign over on a seemingly iron-clad contract...all for unavailable or piss-smellin rooms.

That story is why I'd go to Costa Rica every time. At least in CR, you know it's legal & as long as you restrict yourself to the girls in the Blue Marlin, you know they're of age & can't leave until they pick up their license which is normally left with the front desk of the hotel when they go up with you. Not only that, but the hotel I stayed at would call the room when the girl came down just to make sure everything was OK b4 they would give her license back to her. Not only that, but there's plenty of Cuban, Dominican, Honduran, etc. girls in CR. And also, as for the perception that it's expensive there, you can bargain with them...I never paid more than $70 USD, & that girl was top-shelf!!
