Its not funny... pranks, in general, are not funny. People who pull pranks, or who laugh at pranks, are finding humour at the expense of others.

Some people have heart conditions that can result in disaster if they are scared or even startled. I dated a man who had a serious heart condition and pranks would NOT have been funny. I guess that's why pranks bother me.

It reminds me of an incident a few years ago where a man on the sidewalk was shot by a group of punks in a car with a paintball gun. The paint was red to make it look like blood and the victim (and the paramedics) actually believed that he was shot. He was rushed to the hospital and suffered from shock.

It was random - they didn't know the man. Apparently, he developed Post-traumatic Stress Disorder afterwards.
