Crosby to miss All Star game

as of tonight, he suffered a high ankle sprain.

immediate U of Pitt medical staff say he's out for 6-8 weeks... will be further re-evaluated.

wow....the all star game is no biggie.....but 4 to 6 weeks.....there goes the scoring title and the NHL's marketing asset in the USA.

i think that's ok for the most part, it's only for a little while and besides, most tickets are sold by now anyways.

as for the all-star game, this probably gives Malkin or Sundin an in to the event. my guess would be Malkin- Sundin's gonna be too busy resting while GM's scurry to put a package together that will never pan out.
