Crete?

Hey everyone

I've got a family/destination wedding in Crete later in the summer. Anyone ever been? The wedding is just one weekend then the rest of the week is open to exploring. Looking for suggestions on areas to stay or things to see. Anyone know if the beaches are topless? I loves me some Greek women.

Been there lovely placed filled with history/culture and lots of sites to see. It is the heart of Greek culture, many say, and the Minoan civilization which is the oldest European settlement known. Don't know about topless beaches was there but didn't see that many boobies. But the night life and food were amazing.

Depends upon what interests you. Certainly there are stunning archaeological sites such as Knōsos in Heraklion also the famous Archaeological Museum there

Thanks. Anyone know if the Canadian dollar will go far or if like a lot of tourist areas, there's no deals on food and accommodation?

C$ sucks there best to go Euro and U$ route... do $ exchange before you go they ding you at the banks and hotels.
