Could the CDN dollar become the next global currency

I stumbled across a podcast discussing several geo political topics. One of the topics involved global currencies in the next two decades. It was suggested most of the perceived super power countries currency cannot be trusted due to manipulation tactics, corruption, or lack of confidence. If Canada improved the army and efficiencies in the production of resoucres - do you think the CDN dollar has a legitimate chance of becoming the new world currency after the USD?

I agree that they are incompetent but there is nothing Canada could do to become the reserve currency. We are just too small, and dependent upon resources.

What benefits we can reap from the loonie dethroning
the USD?

I guess that means our government.can spend more
than we can pay back which is what we have been doing
anyway. It would be a joy ride to national bankruptcy.

If worse comes to worst I hope our currency will
be adorned with an image more amusing than the
head of the Queen of England.

I won’t bother with boring people about the intricacies relating to foreign exchange, nor reminding people that we are reliant on people buying our goods and services and peons keeping their jobs..And a devalued currency is a “good thing”.

kinda helps with trade imbalances.
