Road rage is becoming an issue in this city. I've been involved in 2 incidents in the last couple of years and witnessed another. In the first a dude just stopped dead on a ramp at Fairview Mall in front of me. After a few seconds, I honked him. He did the speed up and suddenly brake a few times and then cut me off in the parking lot and got out of his car. It was this massive fat kid, about 6'3" and 300 lbs. I stayed in my car and just stared at him and he called me an asshole and then drove away. Fortunately, he was alone and not a real tough guy. The second time, I honked a car trying to do an illegal left at Spadina and College and the same routine - speed up and then suddenly brake and switch lanes to stay in front of me. I pulled off at Palmerston and drove off to avoid the asshole.
The time I witnessed was late at night by Trinity College on Harbord. A car braked and cut in front of a cab and forced him to emergency stop and then speeded away.
Any of those incidents could have ended a lot nastier and I made a mental note to myself to be more careful and put up with crap more when driving. It's not worth the possible problems.
