conversion of files

any computer experts can help out on this one, I want to transfer an Excel spreadsheet into a Word document, whats the best way to go about this while maintaining a link to the Excel file and manipulating and changing the info from the Excel file which will carry over to the Word file.

In Word

>Insert > Object > Create from File (browse and select Excel file)

check box "Link to file"

This will display your worksheet in Word and will ask if you want to update the linked file.

I tried it, closed Word, modified the worksheet, saved it. Then I opened the Word file & it asked if I wanted to update the linked file, selected yes and it showed new data in the worksheet
