..But oh so stupid.

How could a man *so* bright be so stupid?

As Eric Reguly pointed out sometime last year when the shit hit the fan, only a man with such a towering ego and anachronistic way could think the shareholder movement wouldn't bite him in the ass.

Me personally, I assume that CEO's loot loot loot. A lifetime around rich men makes me wise.

Tubbie made a lot of enemies. Most will be thrilled when he goes down to the big house.

Will Barbara simply lock herself in her shoe closet when Tubbie gets locked up?? Only Vogue readers will know.

I think it's arrogance more than stupidity. Same with Martha Stewart, Ken Lay, and all the others. The greater the success the larger the sense of omnipotence.

My guess if he ends up living in some country where they won't throw his ass in jail that he'll do just fine.

It is amazing the excesses of some people though.

No, he probably isn't as brilliant as he thinks, but he is indeed a very smart man. In business, and in other arenas.

Lots of flaws, of course, but smart.

But he is a pretty brilliant guy, a guy stuck in the 19th Century, back when the world was cut in clean lines and you didn't have...the Internet.... LOL

But hey, even brilliant people are stupid in some way. God's way of levelling things somewhat.

Arrogant,condescending,gives up canadian citizenship so he can be a member of the House of Lords,this a guy who was selling final term papers in high school,this guy went after the dominion stores pension plan fund surplus intentionally, this is the guy who attaches his own name to chairitable donations paid out of Hollinger funds to Sick Kids and gets a wing of that same hospital named after him.His wife expenses tips and has no limits to her extravagances.From the get go this is a guy played all the angles and has no compassion to screw people around. Oh and he has a phony accent too! He has enough money to pay the lawyers for a long time to keep him out of jail.
