Roger Clemens and the trainer guy from the Jays and Yanks testified in some cogressional hearings today in Washington that was broadcast live on radio.

My understanding was that there wasn't anything particularly criminal about taking 'roids when all this happened - or at least the guys that have admitted it aren't facing jail time. You may very well get jail if you perjure yourself in these hearing though.

My initial reactions were:

1. Doesn't a US Congressman have something better to do than this. I mean there is a war going on, the economy is in the tank, there are healthcare issues.......etc etc and you are wasting your time asking a baseball player what he stuck in his bum 10 years ago and whether he used a bandaid after ?
2. Why do they have jurisdiction on something like this ?
3. Who cares anyway ?

I agree what a waste of taxpayer money...don't we have more pressing issues?
This whole issue illustrates perfectly why this congress has the lowest rating ever.
Waxman is a douche bag..

You watch it all day old blue guy? ;) As The World Turns all reruns yesterday was it?

The most laughable aspect was that the Republicans supported Clemens while the Dems supported the trainer. It would be hilarious if it wasn't so sad. Stuck me as a bunch of back benchers trying to get some face time with the cameras
