Can anyone help!!?? Recently (within the last few days) everytime I go to You Tube and play a video my computer freezes up and a message pops up--"Script Error. There is a Script on this page that is running that will cause your computer to run slowly. Do you want to stop this script? Yes or No" If I click Yes my computer freezes for a while then I am automatically kicked out of YouTube and I am returned to my Home Page. if I click no sometimes the video will start to play then it freezes and goes to my Home Page.

I can go to any other Website no issues everything runs OK. I can even go into YouTube and sign into my account and it is OK. However everytime I click a video it freezes and the "Script Error" message pops up.

I have had this happen once before in the past and did a System Restore and it cleared it up and You Tube ran again no problem. I tried it this time and still not working. I have also tried to Google Search a few possible solutions with no results.

Anyone else ever have this Error Message and know what it means and how to fix it?????

what browser are you using?
My home page is MSN Canada (www.msn.com). I just found a MSN site that had a "Mr Fix It Script Error Message" I clicked and ran it. The first You Tube vid I tried played straight through no problem so it looked like maybe it fixed it however just tried a random vid and compture froze again. Not sure if I should try and run Mr Fix It again or keep Google Searching for more possible answers.

The Internet Icon on my Desk Top is "Internet Explorer" and when I go to YouTube by clicking this icon the Script Error Message comes up and my computer freezes. When I go to "Start" then "Internet" it says "Google Chrome" Not sure how I even got Google Chrome??? And didn't even notice that until you mentioned it (thanks for pointing it out and drawing it to my attention:). Seems to be running when I click on the Google Chrome Icon but have not played enough vids yet to see if it will freeze up again.

What is the difference between Google Chrome and Internet Explorer (besides company???) Can it be fixed in Internet Explorer??

the only acceptable use for internet explorer is to use it to get another browser. got get firefox or chrome and your problems will go away forever.

+1 !!!!!

Dump IE!
My sister used to have all kinds of problems running that IE & MSN combo.
Told her to get Firefox and Chrome and then stop using IE and all her problems went away....;)

I'd recommend other browsers, as others did above.. Google Chrome, Firefox , you could go with some beta releases, if you like the latest "features and bugs" ...
But Internet Explorer sometimes, web pages have errors, its possible you have a Browser hijacking thing, unless its specifically youtube,

Try run malwarebytes free scanning, and check your tools--manage-->add-ons for anything suspicious or unsigned...

Also delete cookies, cache etc, via tools internet options--(if menu bar auto hits hit "Alt" first)

a lot of companies are not including IE in their upgrades when they update their websites.

All of the various browsers have issues complying with published/proposed W3C web standards. Until last month http://www.w3counter.com/globalstats.php?year=2012&month=7 IE had the biggest market share meaning that designers and developers cannot simply ignore IE. Now that Chrome has jumped into first place, http://www.w3counter.com/globalstats.php?year=2012&month=8, an interesting question arises - how much more attention will Chrome receive from the malware authors and will Chrome prove to be truely less vulnerable once it is in the full attention of those with nefarious intent?
