Really cool to see the same places we see everyday are not so much different than they were so long ago.

That was awesome, all the familiar landmarks still looks the same.
I liked how people dressed back then not much casual wear, liitle girls in summer dresses, little boys in dress shirts and trousers, women in ankle length dreses and the men in suits.

Amazing! I love Hungary! They have the first artifical waves technology back then and a million other beautiful things.
I swam in that pool last year, the waves still come in every 30 minutes. I hope I can do it again

Thanks Schlong, that was very cool to see, as I am always interested in history of one kind or another. I liked seeing the number of cops walking the beat and interacting with the public and didn't the TTC just retire those same street cars
My point was in the WWII area the sounded movie invented already. The Budapest movie was an example from 1938. For me a colourized BUT silent movie just doesn't make any sense.I'm sure Hungary is nice, but for me seeing vintage video of my hometown is more impressive than a multimedia video of a city I have no connection to. Thanks to the OP for posting
A lot of it might be amateur or home movies Iris. Most of that was silent, especially in the 40's and 50's. Colour film was actually quite common (but very expensive) BEFORE sound film had been invented in 1927. A few silent films were shot in colour, but very few survive to be seen today as the films have long disintegrated.

But easy to add a little old music for a video these days and doesn't cost anything . Just for fun nothing else. It make the movie more enjoyable. That's why the silent movies are comes with music always.
